Who we are

Ashford & Company began with five acres of land and a vision. After years of searching, my wife Alicia and I finally found the perfect property in Barre, Massachusetts in 2017. The moment we stepped onto those fully wooded acres, we knew it was the place where we would build our future. Over the next four years, we poured ourselves into transforming that land into the home and environment we dreamed of for our growing family.

Before the house was even underway, I somehow convinced Alicia to let me invest our entire savings into building a large workshop on the property. I told her it was essential for constructing the house—and especially for crafting all the cabinetry. And it was. But deep down, I also knew that this shop would one day become the foundation of my own cabinetry business.

Once the shop was up and running, I began taking on small projects through word of mouth. I spent late nights and long weekends honing my craft, slowly building the confidence and momentum needed to leave my 9–5 and take the leap into entrepreneurship.

Fast forward a few years, and that dream has grown into something truly special. Our shop now runs on full solar power, we’re adding a second expansion to accommodate increased demand, and we’ve built a small team of talented craftsmen dedicated to producing exceptional work.

From the earliest days of imagining my own shop, I knew I wanted to deliver two things above all else: uncompromising craftsmanship and an outstanding customer experience—from the first consultation to the final installation.
